- Customers: businesses or individuals who open an account and use our platform.
- End Users: people who interact with AI assistants powered by our Customers.
We may update these privacy notices from time to time. The latest version will always be available on port8.ai. Where required by law, we will provide notice of material changes through the website, platform, or other appropriate means.

2. What Data We Collect

4. Marketing Communications and Opt-Out

You may opt out of promotional communications at any time by using the unsubscribe or opt-out option included in the message where available, updating your communication preferences in your account, or contacting us at [email protected].
Service-related communications are not promotional and may still be sent where necessary, including messages relating to billing, security alerts, password resets, account activity, and legal matters.
5. Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on the circumstances, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

6. AI Content and Training
Summary
Your business content helps power your assistant. By default, it is not used to train shared AI models.
Customer content may be indexed, summarized, embedded, transformed, or otherwise processed to power retrieval systems and AI-generated responses for your account.
By default, Customer content is not used to train generalized or shared AI models, unless expressly agreed in writing.
8. International Transfers
Summary
Your data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. When this happens, we use safeguards required by privacy laws.
We are based in Israel and may store or process personal data in jurisdictions outside your country of residence, including the United States and other countries where our infrastructure providers or service partners operate.
Where required under applicable law, we implement appropriate safeguards for international transfers, including:
- Adequacy decisions
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)
- Contractual confidentiality commitments
- Security controls
- Equivalent lawful transfer mechanisms
By using the Services, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred internationally subject to these protections.
9. Data Retention

We keep data as long as needed to provide the service, comply with law, and protect the platform.
We retain Customer data for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Notice, including:
- Active account use
- Support needs

- Dispute resolution
Following deletion or closure of your account, some data may remain in backups or secure archives for a limited period (generally up to 3 months unless longer retention is required).
We may retain anonymized or aggregated data for longer periods.

For people who interact with AI assistants powered by Port8.ai Customers.
1. Who This Notice Applies To
Summary
If you chat with an AI assistant on a website, WhatsApp, Instagram, app, or another channel powered by Port8.ai, this notice applies to you.
This Notice explains how personal data may be processed when you interact with an AI assistant provided through the Port8.ai platform on behalf of one of our Customers.
2. Who Controls Your Data
Summary
Usually, the business you contacted controls your data. Port8.ai mainly acts as their service provider.
In most cases:
- The relevant business or organization (“Customer”) is the Data Controller.
- Port8.ai acts as a Data Processor on behalf of that Customer.
This means the Customer determines the purposes and means of processing related to your interaction.
Port8.ai may also process limited technical, fraud-prevention, analytics, and security data as an independent controller where permitted by law.
3. What Data May Be Processed
Summary
We process what you send in the conversation and technical data needed to deliver and secure the service.
Depending on the channel and interaction, the following data may be processed:

5. Transfers to the Customer
Summary
When you chat with an assistant, the information you submit, including personal information you choose to provide, may be shared with and stored by the business you contacted as part of the service.
Information submitted during your interaction with an AI assistant, including messages, form responses, attachments, and any personal information you choose to provide, may be transmitted to and stored by the Customer whose assistant you are using.
This may include information such as your name, email address, phone number, order details, preferences, or any other information you voluntarily enter into the conversation.
Such transfer and storage are considered an essential part of the requested service and are carried out under the Customer’s role as Data Controller.
Once information has been transferred to the Customer’s systems or account environment, the Customer is generally responsible for its management, retention, and handling in accordance with applicable law.
6. AI Training
Summary
By default, your personal chat data is not used to train shared AI models.
By default, personal data contained in End User interactions is not used to train generalized or shared AI models unless:
- It has been anonymized or aggregated so it no longer identifies any individual; or
- The relevant Customer has expressly agreed to such use in writing.
7. AI Providers and Processing Partners
Summary
To generate responses and run the platform, external technology providers may be used.
Some interactions may rely on third-party providers that support AI generation, cloud hosting, analytics, or security operations.
Depending on system configuration, prompts, chat inputs, uploaded content, or technical data may be processed by such providers on behalf of Port8.ai and/or the relevant Customer, subject to applicable contractual and legal protections.
8. Retention
Summary
How long your data is kept usually depends on the business you contacted.
Retention of End User data is generally determined by the relevant Customer.
Where Port8.ai stores data for technical, operational, compliance, or security purposes, we retain it only for as long as reasonably necessary.
Once data has been transferred to the Customer’s own systems, Port8.ai may not control further retention or deletion.
9. Your Rights
Summary
If you want access, deletion, or correction, the fastest route is usually to contact the business you interacted with.
Because the Customer is usually the Data Controller, requests relating to your interaction should generally be directed to that Customer.
Where required by law, Port8.ai may assist Customers in responding to valid requests. You may also contact [email protected].
10. Security
Summary
We use safeguards to protect data, but no online system is completely risk-free.
We use reasonable security measures including encryption, access controls, monitoring, and incident response procedures.
11. Children
Summary
This service is not intended for users under 18.
The platform and AI assistants are not intended for individuals under the age of eighteen (18).
We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors through the Services.
If you believe a minor has submitted personal data, please contact the relevant Customer or [email protected].

Summary
The assistant may share links to outside websites. We do not control those sites.
Responses or services may include links to third-party websites, products, or services.
